Use bullets to help students
collect ideas

Student Can't think of what to write?

We often respond by verbally rattling off a bunch of ideas in the hopes that one will spark.

Instead, pair your spoken list with a dynamICON using bullets. That way, students can look over the list, consider the ideas, and refer back to them later.

Let’s think of some ideas together. We’ll write each idea down next to its own bullet. Let’s see how many we can come up with!

Want to review what the class has learned?

When summarizing the main topics, events, or themes you've learned, use bullets to create a visual list for the class to reference, to make connections with future content.

Next week we’re going to shift into talking about a new aspect of Westward Expansion—the Homestead Act. But before we do, let’s collect all the ideas about what we’ve learned so far.
